OUR STORY

In the heart of Ketchikan, nestled amongst its scenic beauty, a unique love story unfolded between Gerry, a South African yachtsman with a passion for adventure, and Madison, a local with the Alaskan sea running in her veins. When Gerry's maritime journey brought him to Ketchikan in 2017, it wasn't just the wild charm of Alaska that captivated him, but the warmth and spirit of Madison, a local deeply connected to the Alaskan sea. Madison's family owns the King Crab Fishing Vessel, “Aleutian Ballad” showcased in Season 2 of “The Deadliest Catch,” operating as the “Bering Sea Crab Fisherman’s Tour” since 2007. Their connection was immediate, blending Gerry’s love for the open sea with Madison’s knowledge and passion for authentic, fresh Alaskan fare. Together, they dreamt of a place where they could anchor their shared passions and life stories. This idea led to the creation of their own restaurant, a plan that would intertwine Gerry's adventurous spirit with Madison’s family legacy. In 2023, this dream took form as Ketchikan Crab & Go, situated right next to the bar where their paths first crossed, symbolizing the merging of their journeys. The restaurant became a celebration of their beginning, a testament to their love, and a homage to the rich bounty of the Alaskan waters.
